do i have feelings for my friend?

I have this friend, we have been friends for about a year..we've started off as having a very good friendship and as the time goes by it seems as if things are starting to get deeper.. he tells me that he cares about me.he calls me sweetie and it has even gotten to the point where we have given each other little pet names. Sometimes we would be having these very good conversations and it would get to the point where we would talk about how it would be if we ever got together and how we would never leave or hurt each other...He was also talking about he was able to wait until we were married, if we ever got married, to have sex and he would tell me how he would make my first time very special if we did happen to wait until that time...We haven't really seen each other that much so the most that we can do is text or talk to each other. we text almost everyday and everytime i try to give us a few days off from texting or talking to each other, i always end up texting him again or its really hard to keep from doing it. I always think about him everyday and I sometimes have dreams about him. And we leave in different cities and it seems like everyday that goes by i get so eager to want to see him. Do i have feelings for my friend? or does it seem like he has any for me?

I can you not know that you have feelings for him? It's obvious to me and I'm just a stranger.
I imagine that he feels the same way judging from what you have said.

Why don't the two of you take a step toward making the relationship official?
Be honest with each other and yourself about your feelings.
