How many sex partners have you had..?

have you asked that question with your long term partner? I did a few months into our relationship..in 1992, a few months ago we were watching a movie, anyway the video guy asked the girl that question and she said 14. I started teasing hubby calling him captain 14, then he threw this number out, that was one higher than in 1992. I asked him and he said he gave me a lower number because he was emabarrassed about a one night stand he had had. A few days later i told him it bothered me that he lied and asked him why would you low ball by only 1, then his number changed by 2 more one nighters. He doesnt think it should matter after all these years. Sorry, it does bother me. What do you think?

I don't think he cheated. I think he just lied to you from the beginning and didn't remember which number he told you. I have been married for 3 years (it's both our second marriage) and I don't know the exact number of my husband. Around 10. He doesn't know my exact number either, b/c I didn't want to come clean about a few. I told him like 3 less and our numbers were about equal.

I wouldn't obsess over it. If you guys have a good, happy marriage, let it go and focus on the future.

I've always heard men lie and add 4 to their number and women take 4 away. That's def true with me!
